Hello! πŸ‘‹

My name is June!

I'm a senior at Tufts University studying Engineering Psychology (HCI) and Graphic Design, graduating May 2026. I’m Korean, but I grew up in Beijing, China, for 18 years.

Recently...

I worked as an Experience Design intern at Adobe for summer 2025.

Currently...

Looking for new grad design roles!

International Background πŸ‡°πŸ‡·πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡³

Growing up, I attended an international school and was immersed in Korean, Chinese, and American cultures. While that occasionally challenged my sense of identity, it also enabled me to become fluent in multiple languages!

Siblings πŸ‘§πŸ»πŸ‘¦πŸ»

I have an older brother, he’s two years older than me. We used to fight a lot...but now I go to him for life advice πŸ˜‚

I ❀️ Eating!

I love love eating food!!!! Especially spicy food that contains mala (ιΊ»θΎ£) β€” a type of Chinese seasoning!

Traveling ✈️

If I had all the time in the world, I’d definitely travel and make new memories while immersing myself in different cultures and environments.

So....how did I get into UI/UX design?

I used to always want to become an artist, and then fashion designer, interior designer, to graphic designer, and now a UI/UX designer.

After coming to Tufts and joining a club called Product Studio, where I now serve as president, I was introduced to the world of tech and realized I wanted to design products at the intersection of people and technology. I’ve always been fascinated by how human behavior and technology influence each other.

Growing up in culturally diverse environments like Seoul and Beijing, I saw firsthand how culture shapes the way people interact with digital products, which drew me toward UI/UX design as a way to combine human psychology with creativity. Through my studies in Engineering Psychology, I’ve developed a strong understanding of cognitive processes, which helps me anticipate user needs and design intuitive, accessible experiences.

My graphic design background complements this by giving me the tools to create visually compelling interfaces that resonate emotionally with users. Together, these experiences allow me to design products that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing, but also culturally sensitive and deeply human-centered.
